been major focus shifts throughout North America and Europe on health care, spurring an entire health care

tourism industry. And on the heels of the rising costs there, comes word from the National Inflation Association
that food prices are spiraling out of control in the United States and accelerating at their fastest rate since records
began being kept in the United Kingdom. In Costa Rica, the cost of food went down last year and trends show it is
on target to go down again for 2010.
Transportation has also become an important topic on Costa Rica’s South Pacific Coast. Upgrades in
transportation have made it easy to access Hacienda Matapalo's Costa Rican property. The Costanera Sur, the
major Pacific Coast Highway, is now fully paved and runs directly in front of the property while area airports are
receiving facelifts with longer runways and refurbished structures. In addition, the new Osa International Airport
